Kings I thought they would mill around that 7 to 11 playoff position delaying what they need to do. But they have just tanked and hopefully put themselves in a position to have a great shot at Hughes. Well done |

They want to win, but are just too old and too slow. |

Sabres- I thought they'd be better, but not this good.
Blues-So many upgrades in the summer and they are worse. I thought they'd be a lock for the playoffs. |

I've been betting against STL for a while now and also thought the moves they made this year were going to make one of the strongest in the west. |

I am surprised how far the Hawks, Devils and Kings have fallen.
I am not surprised about Buffalo, they were good down the stretch last year and continue to be good.
I am very surprised Montreal is as good as they are with Price being average to poor.

Sad state of affairs when your team is considered to be a surprise and still is amongst the worst teams in the league. |

Yeah, I'm VERY surprised by the Kings, not so much by the Devils or Hawks. While I don't think NJ is a bad team per-se, I thought the Devils overachieved last year and began the same way.
The Hawks have been a mismanagement of assets catching up with them. They probably have the biggest collections of bad contracts than any other team.
I'm actually also surprised by COL. They showed last year that they were a team on the rise, but the step they've taken from last year to this year is just nuts. Probably my favorite team to watch outside of the Penguins. |

Most of us that use this site weren't even alive when the Habs last won. Did they even have color TV back then? Must be nice to have won 24 when there was only 5 other teams in the league. Your team and franchise has been garbage for decades now. |
